Every Little Girl Should Have a Minnie Mouse Party

Filled with ribbons, bows, tulle, and lots of polka dots; We're talking about a Minnie Mouse Birthday Party!

Can't believe she is already 2! No sooner did we finish planning our daughters first birthday, was it time again for another one. With a child obsessed with Minnie mouse, I couldn't resist going all out on this one. Seeing her excitement on her special day made all the time and effort that went into preparing for this party, a thousand times worth it.

Despite not turning out exactly as planned, the cake was still scrumptious! I used a cute Minnie Mouse Candle that I found at Walmart.

Loved how the Minnie Mouse Inspired "Clubhouse Welcome sign" and "Happy Birthday Banner" turned out, (Both available on Etsy)

Cupcakes were made with Oreo Ears and nonpareils. I used these recipes for the Sugar cookies and Royal Icing because they had good ratings and looked simple. They tasted AMAZING! I made a double batch for both and as always, used a good baking pan. I again, used the nonpareils, and colored the icing with gel color. I purchased the Wilton Cookie Cutter, from Amazon.

I purchased the premade designs for my 5 x 7 Invitations, Thank You cards, as well as the designs on my cupcake toppers from Gardella Global on Etsy. I printed them at a local office supply store, but next time I will print the online at Walgreens. A friend of mine used them recently for her invitations and they turned out beautifully! She printed her invitations on 5x7 flat photo cards, using the edge to edge photo, designer formatting. The color and matte finish was beautiful! I only wish I knew that when I had printed mine. I want to be sure to mention this for those of you who like the DIY print options for invitations.

I decided to leave the cupcake toppers off of the cupcakes, but found a good spot for them here in the fruit salad. Notice the mouse ear watermelon slices, would also be cute for tea sandwiches.

Using the same technique in this tutorial, I decorated a picture frame in the same patterns as my banners.

Little Details in the silverware, with these napkin rings. (Napkins and silverware from Party City)

The Table Runner, complete with Ruffles and Rick Rack. Also available on Etsy.

And no Minnie Mouse party is complete without made some monogrammed "Bowtique" Hair bow for party favors.

Although she ended up wearing her Target Minnie Mouse costume, I had made her this appliqued tee. Looks like it will wait for another time to wear. Looking forward to Disney this spring!
